Hello SPP’ers!

As you probably have heard, SPP will be coming to an end sometime in February 2012 (6 months from 8/26/11). We are completely devastated that our favorite community will be split up, and I will miss my kitty Morgenstern terribly.

SPPStore.com, SPPDB.com were all run by my boyfriend (Kyle) and I (Kendra). SPPAddict.net has had several amazing people running it over the past 2 years (Audi, Nick, Mary,  Jareth, Heidi, Deb, Mimi, Paige, Kyle & Kendra). It was a lot of work, but it sure did pay off! We have made some of the BEST friendships of our life through this game. We know in our heart that even when SPP is gone, the friendships we have made will continue to grow.

I want to personally thank every single customer who has supported SPPStore and SPPAddict. You guys and gals have given us constant feedback and each and every one of you helped make SPPStore and SPPAddict become what it is today.

We will keep our store AND SPPAddict.net up until the very end, and we will be having some amazing sales over at SPPStore.com (so keep an eye out)!

You might be wondering… “Why keep selling when SPP will be over in 6 months?” Well, I know personally there are so many items I would like to own before the game is gone. I know that each and every one of us has those few items they wish they could play with and take screenshots of just to prove that you once had it! These last 6 months are going to be tough, so once in a while you might feel the need to spoil yourself with that final item you just have to have.

We will be here until the very end, and sincerely hope that we can remain in contact with each and every one of you!

Earlier today we announced that in the coming months we will begin to shut down many of our products, including SPP. We know all of you love your pet, and we wanted to provide you with plenty of advanced warning. SPP won’t be retired for about six months. We hope this will provide you with time to play with your pet, capture snapshots of your favorite habis and connect with the friends you’ve made on SPP.

We know this is a sad day for many of you, and it is sad for us, too. SPP has been a major part of many of our lives for the past three years. Thank you for taking care of your pet and for creating such an incredible community.

Hey everyone,

As we announced last month, we’re making some important changes to SPP, the biggest of which are happening (or have already happened) today.

We wanted to give you a reminder about today’s changes and how they’ll affect SPP going forward.

As of now, the following changes are in effect on SPP:

-Gold purchasing is turned off (you can still buy Gold Items with existing Gold)
-Gold Items will no longer be restocked
-All Sold Out items have been removed from the Pet Shop
-Permanently available (or “evergreen”) Coin Items have been added to the Pet Shop
-New VIP subscriptions are not available
-Existing and active VIP memberships are free for subscribers
-Mystery Items have been removed from the Daily Bonus Wheel

Later on this month, we’ll remove all Gold Items from the Pet Shop including Pet Shop items, Spa Passes, and Garden Expansions.

If you currently have Gold in your account and would like to spend it, be sure to do so this month. Gold Items will be removed from SPP after July and remaining Gold in accounts will not be refunded.

The “evergreen” Coin Items that will appear in the Shop starting today are a mix of old items and new items, that we hope will cover your most basic needs when it comes to Decorating. There are almost 200 items that will be permanently in stock, without buy limits. Think of it as an “SPP Essentials Collection” of sorts  Be sure to check the Marketplace to meet all your more specialized needs.

As before, features like Marketplace, Clubs, the Forums, Trading, Gifting, Caretaking, and much more will be available to you! Admins, Ambassadors, and Moderators will be here in the Forum to make your time here as fun and enjoyable, as well.

Hey everyone!

Just a couple of updates:

1. The Seed section within the Garden is not currently working as intended. We’re aware of the issue and will work on a fix for the Seed section next week, after the holiday. Thanks for your patience.

2. Some Sold Out items are still appearing in the Pet Shop. You can expect these to taper off slowly.

3. Not all of the new items are showing up on the first pages of the Shop. Search for new and old perma-stocked items in the Category buttons within the Shop.
