Here we are with another week of Staff Choice Awards. It is always difficult to choose one winner in each Category because there are so many wonderful habitats to pick from! But we battened down the hatches and we debated which was the best. We hope that you enjoy them as much as we do!

With that said, I’m pleased to announce this week’s winners!

Unique:

Macy this was such an adorable habitat that was filled with unique whimsy.  Great job!

New Category – Nicole’s Cute Habitat of the Week:
Jane.

I chose this habitat because I giggle everytime I see the expression on the Octopus’s face as the shark is coming at him. Seriously, that is what I’d look like too. This is simply adorable and we all loved it! You did a wonderful job Jane.

Mosaic:
Crystal.

Who doesn’t love Paris at any time of the year? This was a beautiful representation Crystal. So talented!

Realistic:
Colleen.

Someone in the thread commented how gorgeous the water pools were in this habitat and we agree. Colleen you are truly special and this was an amazing job. Incredible!

Repeat Champion!:
Meow .

Starry Night is a personal favorite painting of mine. The way that Meow has captured it is not only true to life but has that unique SPP take. We loved it and your talent and patience in recreating this is spectacular!

Since we don’t have any new items out, I decided to create a new category and Too Cute for Words seemed a little hokey. So I bring you this Busy Bee habitat which completely fits the flow here at SPP right now. Your Admin’s are all little busy bees. It sort of looks just like this.  Great job!

Mosaic:
Yaaya Loves.

The mosaics are always so hard to judge, but we saw this entry and just boggled at how everything flows perfectly into each other. Beautiful job Yaaya!

Realistic:
Terri Loves Kitties.


I love the Pacific Northwest as do most of us here in the Office and this was a perfect representation of everything that is wonderful about that place! Thank you Terri for reminding us how gorgeous it is.

Repeat Champion!:
Flirty Butterfly .

Flirty Butterfly perfectly captured the whimsey of the fantastical nap. This art was beautiful and we kept coming back to it time and again with exclamations of amazement.

We’re back for another Staff Choice Awards! Thanks to everyone who entered their Habitats this week, the entries were amazing, as usual!!

I’m pleased to announce this week’s winners!

Humorous:
Asphalt Cowgirl.

We laughed so hard when we saw this Habitat. It completely tickled our Funny Bones and we hope it does yours too! Because really, who hasn’t come home to this at some point? 

New Items:

This Pony is so cute we all want to just take him home! Great use of the Watermelon Concept!

Mosaic:
Lost Angels.

This was a really hard decision for us. We voted and then we needed a tie breaker and then we voted again. After much deliberation and throwing of random objects, we decided that we’d like all of the Mosaic entries who don’t win this week to enter again.  Lost Angels did an amazing job creating this scene of Japanese serenity. Breathtaking! Thank you!

Realistic:
Brenda.

When we were judging, Rebecca asked me, “Do we have a reflective effect?” Nope, it was just some pretty awesome talent on Brenda’s part. We loved this habitat of the Pets watching the fireworks off into the distance. Beautiful job!

Lili is definitely no stranger to winning our Weekly Staff Choice Award and boy did she stun us again. This tea-party scene out of the turn of the Century is simply gorgeous!

It’s that time again: Staff Choice Awards! I’m pleased to announce this week’s winners!

Jimminy, this habitat is gorgeous! I love how you used the rug to make up the wall for this house. There was so much though that went in to making this Habitat so lovely!

New Items:

Now this is what we all need, a nice, long, relaxing day at the spa. What a great idea, turning this Habitat into something so soothing!

Mosaic:
Monik.

This lil’ guy is “Feelin’ Froggy”. The detail that you put in to placing each Item so perfectly is really impresive, Monik. I love the layers of color, too. It makes this Habitat feel extra sun-shiney! 

Unique:
Sheepy Sheep.

Oooh, you captured it, Sheepy! We sure have had one heck of a week, haven’t we? Thanks for this hilarious Habby, we all got a kick out of it.

Robin, the degree of detail in this four-panel Habitat is remarkable. We loved going through and finding all the Items that you used so creatively. I can tell that the multi-panel Habitats have really given you all extra inspiration for creativity. That’s wonderful! Any more panels & we’re all going to need MUCH bigger Computer monitors!!
